Quick Tips on African American Natural Hair Styles

African American Hair Styles.

I just finish talking with my Sister-In-Law, a license African American Hair Stylist and Shop owner in South Nashville, Tn area.

She's been in the business for more than 10 years now. After talking with "Peaches" my Sister-in-law about African American Hair, I was surprise to here her be so honest and say what she said.

I'll see if I can post the interview online in the near future. Below I seen a site that was talking about hair and what they consider good and bad.

That's the interesting part.

Take a look at the article below but based upon my research...also talking with another relative in the hair business.

Perms are not good for your hair. Anything chemical like the article says below isn't good but African American aren't concern with what's bad but more less what looks good and that's where we are today.

I guess it's just like anything else. Too much of anything is bad for ya.

Why should your hair be any different. Just be care with the whatever style you decide to wear. If you would like more about options wearing a african american natural hairstyle click here

Read the sentence below and before you go to the article. let me tell you what 2 stylist said..
Some stylists use the term natural hair to refer only to Afros, others use the term for any hair style without chemical treatment, including Afros, updos and all types of braids. Women who regularly use a hot comb to relax their hair may suffer progressive, irreversible hair loss, beginning at the crown and spreading across the entire head.

-Okay,,,Updos per my research aren't good for your hard. The style doesn't allow for the scalp to breath. Plus you are putting usually a hard sprits and that's not good. This style can lead to hair loss.
Braids aren't always good for the hair line. And yeah, while the hot comb can burn your hair and scapl it's the safest of the styles mention you just need to make sure your moisten the scalp.
