African American wigs have really come a long way the last few years.
I remember when you could definitely tell the difference between a wig and ones real hair but not anymore.
Synthetic and human hair wigs are now available for African American women and they come in a full assortment of styles and colors.
So, lets talk about a African American Wigs and how you can maintain your wigs easily.
First, there's a difference between Human hair wigs and Synthetics. You can get either and they will look good. In fact I maybe very hard to tell the difference.
Synthetic wigs you will need probably less maintenance. Human hair wigs will be almost like maintaining your own hair simply because it's real hair. But with Synthetic you can almost take it right out of the box and a little preparation and it's ready to go.
*tips don't apply any type of heat to synthetic.
African American human hair wigs come in an assortment of colors and you can customize them to fix your desire. That way you will not see too many with the same look except for someone with the same natural hair style.
*tip don't use regular hair products for cleaning and treatment of your wig, there are special products that will help you wig last a long time just for wigs.

Hello Sistas,
It's always interesting talking about African American Natural Hair Care and Styles. The more people you ask the more opinions you'll get.
One person may say, they don't do perms and give you a likable reason. Another person you can just talk to, have a conversation with and tell, their hair and how it looks is a strong part of them.
With that say, here's 2 posting I found online tonight to share with you about African American hair...what you can do to care for it.

Quick Tips on African American Natural Hair Styles
African American Hair Styles.
I just finish talking with my Sister-In-Law, a license African American Hair Stylist and Shop owner in South Nashville, Tn area.
She's been in the business for more than 10 years now. After talking with "Peaches" my Sister-in-law about African American Hair, I was surprise to here her be so honest and say what she said.
I'll see if I can post the interview online in the near future. Below I seen a site that was talking about hair and what they consider good and bad.
That's the interesting part.
Take a look at the article below but based upon my research...also talking with another relative in the hair business.
Perms are not good for your hair. Anything chemical like the article says below isn't good but African American aren't concern with what's bad but more less what looks good and that's where we are today.
I guess it's just like anything else. Too much of anything is bad for ya.
Why should your hair be any different. Just be care with the whatever style you decide to wear. If you would like more about options wearing a african american natural hairstyle click here

Read the sentence below and before you go to the article. let me tell you what 2 stylist said..
-Okay,,,Updos per my research aren't good for your hard. The style doesn't allow for the scalp to breath. Plus you are putting usually a hard sprits and that's not good. This style can lead to hair loss.
Braids aren't always good for the hair line. And yeah, while the hot comb can burn your hair and scapl it's the safest of the styles mention you just need to make sure your moisten the scalp.

Some stylists use the term natural hair to refer only to Afros, others use the term for any hair style without chemical treatment, including Afros, updos and all types of braids. Women who regularly use a hot comb to relax their hair may suffer progressive, irreversible hair loss, beginning at the crown and spreading across the entire head.Black Women Hairstyles Fashion | Bollywood | Hollywood
